Production Technician

About the role

In this role, you will ensure adherence to production/process specifications, report any malfunctions or abnormalities, and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complies with all Safety related procedures and reports damage, incidents, or near misses.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation, output, quality, and performance of the relevant production line.
  • Monitors production activities and equipment uptime to meet target outputs while reporting irregularities to the Supervisor.
  • Responsible for all batch documentation and cGMP of each production run and participates in reviewing SOPs.
  • Performs running, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance.
  • Maintains Production line areas in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
  • Coaches and trains team members to guarantee standard work in safety, quality, traceability, and service.
  • Responsible for the timely set up of machines and supporting the update of set-up procedures for improved turnaround times.
  • Actively participate in Lean programs with a focus on line efficiency and waste reduction.

Qualifications

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent required.
  • Willingness to work on 2 or 3 cycle shifts rota.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Skilled in anticipating and troubleshooting problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possesses mathematical and mechanical/technical skills with a motivation toward safety and quality.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
  • Experience working in the Medical Device Industry is desirable
