Job Description
Shipping Coordinator
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Schedule: 2-2-3 rotation (work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days)
Lift Requirement: Up to 50 lbs
License: Forklift certification required (or ability to obtain)
We are hiring a Shipping Coordinator to manage outbound freight, shipping documentation, and system transactions in a manufacturing environment. You will coordinate daily shipments, process receiving paperwork, and work directly with Transportation, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to ensure same-day shipping when required.
This is a 12-hour night shift role.
What You’ll Do
- Schedule daily freight pick-ups with carriers
- Track shipment status and communicate updates to Customer Service and internal teams
- Generate shipping documents: Bill of Lading, packing lists, sales orders, transfer orders, vendor returns
- Process shipping and receiving transactions in Oracle, TMS, and related systems
- Verify receipts and material entries in Oracle
- Coordinate same-day shipments with Supply Chain
- Ensure proper labeling and documentation accuracy (100% match before shipment release)
- Process and close all receiving paperwork
- Participate in daily problem-solving and continuous improvement meetings
- Follow OSHA and site safety procedures at all times
- Support production by ensuring materials move without delay
Qualifications
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1–3 years in manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution
- Experience using ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
- Experience with shipping/receiving transactions in a computer-based system
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Forklift license (or ability to obtain)
- Availability for overtime with short notice
- Ability to work independently during 12-hour shifts
