Job Description
ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
The Data Enablement Regional Leader is an expert-level leadership role that leads the development and deployments of digital data enablement capabilities and system architecture for data visibility, data acquisition, machine connectivity and controls, and supporting software in our manufacturing operations in some specific regions. Data Enablement Regional Lead brings relevant expertise and experience for establishing manufacturing 4.0 and “smart factory” capabilities in both existing and greenfield plants, Especially focusing on Production Scheduling and Manufacturing Execution areas.
The Data Enablement Regional Lead collaborates with colleagues and other experts in operations, DFactory, and IT to ensure systems comply with company protocols and business requirements, using methods and technology that is scalable and repeatable across multiple sites.
The Data Enablement Regional Lead is assigned to lead and/or support projects which are aligned with the manufacturing 4.0 strategy and roadmap to deliver near term and longer term operational improvements and business results in some specific regions.
The Data Enablement Regional Lead is a solution expert who will be an integral part of the team responsible for solution design on data visibility, data acquisition, and review of all business process and system level changes as part of continual service improvement. You will provide design perspectives to the process teams, assess current state processes and tools, identify data platform solution options, define solution requirements, determine and define integration requirements. You will provide expert level support to drive progress of our manufacturing 4.0 strategy and roadmap to deliver near term and long term operational improvements and business results.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Drive the simplification and automation of data based processes to improve production scheduling, order tracking, production performance data capture and dashboarding. The systems and tools include but are not limited to APS, MES, IOT and big data, artificial intelligence.
- Collect, research and analyze business requirements for specific regions, provide conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs, and pass the needs to IT for development.
- Collaboration with manufacturing sites and Operations & Supply Chain functions to test the system/software/program developed by IT and support the rollout of the solutions.
- Improvement and troubleshooting of existing and new manufacturing and warehouse processes.
- Analyze, validate and document the business needs on interface, reports, forms, configurations, and pass to IT for design and development.
- Facilitate review sessions with functional owners, subject matter experts and end-user representatives.
- Partner with IT to work on a broad set of initiates within IT Security, Governance, Risks, and Compliance space.
- Ongoing communications and collaboration with IT and operations resources, working across functions and sites.
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and security policies and procedures.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in engineering related to electronics, operations technology, software development, or automation - or equivalent training, work experience with demonstrated technical expertise applicable to role description and responsibilities
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in a manufacturing environment, including hands-on experience with data connectivity and systems to support improved information visibility and ongoing acquisition in manufacturing operations
- Experience and demonstrated success in the development and implementation of advanced technologies and process improvements in manufacturing and associated IT systems
The candidate must possess a combination of:
- Technical expertise for manufacturing technologies, process automation, information systems, software and controls
- Experience working with PLCs, Data Acquisition Devices, IoT/edge devices, and on-premises data migration to the cloud
- Software development expertise and architecture design for data systems using IoT and cloud-based protocols
- Technical development experience using Github, node.js, and experience within Azure Cloud developer environment
- Manufacturing engineering fundamentals
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including English
- Project management skills
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and maintain focus to guided priorities
- Ability to develop and lead complex initiatives with limited direct supervision.

- Knowledge around network protocols (TCIP/serial)
- Knowledge around Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Knowledge around Github Actions
- Knowledge around Terraform
- Knowledge of REACT and .net
- Experience with real-time Dashboarding with live data
