REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES: Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assigned.  Activities may include, but are not limited to.

Job Description

Operations

  • Oversee daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, machinery, and utilities.

  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

  • Ensure timely resolution of breakdowns, with root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

  • Drive initiatives to improve equipment availability, reliability, and performance.

  • Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for efficiency improvement.

  • Participate in daily monitoring/coordination meetings to review equipment status, ongoing issues, and maintenance priorities.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies, statutory regulations, and electrical codes.

  • Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety inspections regularly.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing maintenance records, compliance evidence, and corrective action follow-ups.  

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical ,Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

Experience: Minimum 8-10 years experience in maintenance, plant facility management preferably in a manufacturing/industrial site.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical systems, motors, drives, PLCs, Utilities and industrial machinery.

    • Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for breakdown and corrective maintenance.

    • Familiarity with Preventive Maintenance (PM) systems and reliability-centered maintenance practices.

  • Safety and Compliance: 

    • In-depth understanding of electrical safety standards, statutory regulations, and workplace safety practices.

    • Experience conducting risk assessments and root-cause analysis.

  • Leadership & Teamwork:

    • Proven ability to supervise and mentor maintenance technicians.

    • Strong coordination skills to align maintenance with production/operations requirements.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Experience in continuous improvement, energy efficiency, and cost optimization initiatives.  

  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Ability to liaise effectively with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

    • Good documentation and reporting skills (maintenance logs, downtime analysis, KPI tracking) with the  flexibility to support a 24 hour 7 day manufacturing schedule.
