Job Description
The Senior Executive - Accounts Payable is responsible for managing and optimizing the accounts payable functions, focusing on procurement-to-pay (P2P) processes. This role involves extensive analysis and reporting duties to support strategic financial decisions within the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supplier Payment Management:
- Manage supplier payments, coordinating and following up with the Accenture team and stakeholders to ensure timely processing and resolution of issues.
2. Weekly Bank Reconciliation:
- Conduct weekly bank reconciliation reviews with the Accenture team.
- Coordinate with the bank to provide necessary inputs and address any discrepancies.
3. Employee Benefits Contribution:
- Ensure timely contributions to the Employee Provident Fund and Gratuity trust, sharing necessary communications with relevant parties.
4. SOX Compliance Support:
- Provide required information to the Finance Manager to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
5. PTP Month End Activities:
- Work with the PTP Manager to support month-end activities, including reviewing non-PO invoice bookings.
6. Prepayment and GRNI Review:
- Coordinate with the Finance Manager for weekly reviews of prepayments and GRNI, ensuring necessary actions are taken.
7. FDI Reporting:
- Provide inputs for quarterly Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) reporting for three entities.
- Collaborate with the PTP Manager for submission to the bank.
8. BOE Time Extension Monitoring:
- Closely monitor and follow up on Bill of Entry (BOE) time extensions with the bank and internal stakeholders.
9. Ad-hoc PTP Activities:
- Handle other PTP-related ad-hoc activities as required.
10. AP Analysis and DPO Reporting:
- Conduct detailed accounts payable analysis to identify trends and improve processing efficiencies.
- Prepare and present comprehensive Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) reports to aid in cash flow management.
11. Payment Projections and Bank Charge Analysis:
- Develop and maintain accurate monthly and quarterly payment projections.
- Analyze bank charges to identify areas for cost savings and negotiate better terms with financial institutions.
12. CAPEX Reporting and Management:
- Prepare and manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) reports, monitoring budget adherence and variance analysis.
13. Monthly Liquidity Management and Cash Forecasting:
- Maintain monthly liquidity management reports and perform cash forecasting to inform strategic financial decisions.
14. Data Analysis and Dashboard Management:
- Develop and maintain payment dashboards using data analysis tools to provide real-time insights to stakeholders.
15. Foreign Currency Forecast Analysis:
- Analyze and forecast monthly foreign currency needs to minimize exchange rate risks.
16. Balance Sheet Review Participation:
- Actively participate in monthly balance sheet reviews, providing insights into accounts payable positions and commitments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA or similar certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounts payable or financial analysis roles within a multinational environment.
- Expertise in P2P processes, DPO analysis, and payment dashboard tools.
- Strong proficiency in using ERP systems and financial analysis software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Experience in statutory reporting and compliance related to FDI is a plus.
