SUMMARY:  May serve as the facility EHS Lead or serve as an EHS Staff member.   

REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES:  Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assigned.  Activities may include all or some of the following, a combination of the following, but are not limited to:

• Implements and Integrates Company EHS programs and develops facility specific procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory and Company policies. 
• Actively participates in development of EHS program components: operational procedure, work instructions, training material, standards, etc.
• Requirements include integration of environmental, health and safety management systems with engineering and program documentation and schedules to maintain regulatory compliance and safe operating conditions.
• Reduce liability within a facility and ensure all safety and environmental recommendations are completed and documented
• Use ELS methodology to drive improvements in Environmental and Safety programs.  Engineer solutions to occupational exposures.  Drive continuous improvement and deliver strong results from behavioral based processes.
• Evaluates new environmental, health and safety technologies and processes to develop strategies and tactics for reducing workplace and operational hazards and environmental impacts.
• Typically does not spend more than 20% of time performing work supervised.
• Sets team priorities; provides input on resource planning and policy development.
• Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of the team and responsible for team leadership. Also acts as a resource for the team, provide training/ coaching to the work of the team.
• Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors
• Builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers. 
• Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. 
• Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. 
• Applies advanced skills to the position or specialization. 
• Assigned larger and more complex tasks than an EHS Specialist I.
• Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
• Project Management Oriented, Solution Oriented, Goal Oriented, Technical

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical, Environmental Engineering / Science or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of EHS experience with progressive work assignments.  Advanced professional EHS certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM, QEP, CEA, REM etc.) desired.
• Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and EHS policies, procedures and programs.
• Experience in life safety codes: EHS rules, HAZOP, training, principles of occupational safety and health, and Industrial hygiene.
• Good Project/Problem Resolution skills.
• Strategic thinking with strong leadership skills and good interpersonal communications.
• Strong coaching, facilitating and training skills.
