Job Description
Are you seeking an opportunity to put your financial and accounting skills into practice? Would you like to get exposure to the job of Financial Controlling working in a global manufacturing company?
This internship will offer you the unique opportunity to support the divisional European SOX coordinator in the execution of the 2025 SOX process and CAPEX project's financial tracking process.
This is a great way to learn how various key business and financial processes are organized and controlled from a financial perspective. On top, this assignment will also provide the opportunity to learn about SOX requirements for a US-listed company.
Main responsibilities:
- Support the SOX coordinator via working closely with the process owners on ensuring the SOX deliverables are achieved in time.
- Documenting, assessing, and testing key controls in our Label & Graphic Materials EU business.
- Work with different business process owners and controllers across Europe to ensure that the key controls are documented properly.
- Perform walkthrough procedures and key controls testing.
- Perform quality control on the SOX tests.
- Lead the divisional CAPEX projects (IT and R&D) financial tracking process and support the CAPEX case preparation (calculate ROI, IRR etc.)
The preferred start date is April 1st, 2025. The ideal candidate is available for 4-5 days a week for a duration of 6 months. The internship can be done remotely for up to 2 days per week.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated and thriving in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
What we also expect from you:
- Currently following a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance & Control, Auditing, Economics, or any related studies
- Strong attention to detail, quick learner and can work under pressure
- Good communication and not afraid to ask question
- Excel skills will be a plus
