Job Description

We have an immediate need for a degreed Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, at least 3-5 years of accounting experience with payroll accounting in their background; strong skills in Microsoft Excel; ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and composure; strict attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication techniques; superb organizational skill; a positive attitude along with professional demeanor and willingness to learn.

 

Position will perform financial analysis and general accounting duties including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Posting of weekly US payroll from ADP into the various general ledgers.  Produce and distribute payroll and overtime reports to Operations
  • Monthly closing – prepare various payroll journal entries, related but not limited to, expatriates, vacation accruals, bonus accruals, payroll taxes, etc.  
  • Prepare monthly corporate schedules 
  • Implement process improvements related to payroll processing
  • Prepare accurate and timely account reconciliations
  • Assist in the coordination of SOX activities related to payroll and treasury admin functions
  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Other Corporate General Accounting duties as required
  • Culture Alignment: drive evolution of accountability, collaboration, and trust across the organization and proactively link responsibilities to key OGSM metrics
  • Personal Development: utilize Avery Dennison Performance Management System and tools to improve professional and personal development

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Accounting or Finance degree
  • 3-5 years experience in Accounting or Finance with some payroll exposure
  • Team player with excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in PC skills (Word, Excel, etc…)
  • Exposure to Oracle ERP a plus
  • Strong demonstration of business ethics and integrity
