Job Description
We are looking for a Global Mobility Specialist to join our Global Mobility team.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone to develop a career in a truly global role.
Whilst providing operational support to our Global Mobility Managers, the successful applicant will work directly with the internal functions of our global network, ensuring that our business and employees are well supported. Through this work the successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop more technical skills in relation to Global Mobility, immigration, tax, etc. The successful applicant will also gain experience in managing projects and process review as we roll out new processes and procedures.
The nature of this role requires someone who has strong interpersonal and planning skills. The successful candidate will have a can do attitude, solution focused approach and be willing to get involved in all aspects of Global Mobility administration. They should have a genuine interest in working in an international role and a willingness to develop new skills and knowledge in relation to Global Mobility requirements for all types of international moves.
Your Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide administrative and coordination support to the GM Managers.
Below is a list of responsibilities, however there is potential for the scope of the role to grow in terms of technical requirements over time.
- Support HR in regards to the initiation process for all new relocations or assignments
- Prepare cost estimates for low complexity permanent relocations to be shared with stakeholders
- Review relocation or assignment related documentation e.g. assignment letters, benefits documents, etc.
- Act as a point of contact for our employees and their families as needed
- Partner with internal teams and external Global Mobility vendors to coordinate the delivery of services as needed
- Liaise with HR regarding assignment extensions, localizations, or repatriation
- Review and provide feedback on all low complexity International Remote Work requests
- Prepare and deliver routine reports to internal teams e.g. finance
- Support the invoicing/ billing process related to Global Mobility expenses
- Periodically review and provide feedback on Global Mobility processes and procedures
- Maintain and update as needed all GM documentation/ templates
- Maintain and update content on the Global Mobility site on the company portal
- Project work as assigned by the GM Manager
Qualifications
- 3-5 years work experience in a global environment
- Previous experience with global mobility, ideally 1-3 years
- Working knowledge of global mobility matters such as immigration, tax, social security
- Relevant undergraduate degree
- A can-do attitude, self starter and proactive approach
- Strong interpersonal and planning skills
- Strong client service and delivery ethos
- Willingness to learn
- Attention to detail and right first time attitude
- Ability to plan, schedule and arrange own activities to accomplish objectives
- A flexible approach and adapting of role to meet current and future business needs
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to build rapport with internal clients and other colleagues
- Confidence in partnering with internal stakeholders within the company including HR, managers, payroll, corporate tax, finance, legal, etc.
- Ability to understand and interpret the firm’s policies and processes
- Collaborative approach, effectively working with others to achieve team success
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
