With a concentrated blend of experiential on-the-job learning, a dynamic environment, access to business leaders, and an encouraging team of co-workers, peers, and supervisors, the Internship Program will provide you the opportunity to sharpen your skills and collaborate on a number of strategic projects.
We’re seeking a Finance Intern to join our business in North America during the summer of 2023. You will provide Finance support for North America operations. In this role, you will assist with the close process and various analyses, and ensure all reporting deadlines are met while collaboratively working with the Finance Team and other Functions. You will also work on projects that support Finance’s continuous efforts to standardize and streamline processes.
The Finance Intern typically works for one of the following teams:
- Commercial Finance
- Operations Finance
What you will be doing
The primary roles and responsibilities of this internship will be:
- Provide both regular (daily/weekly/monthly) and ad-hoc reports to help strategic decision-making for the business
- Build and send monthly management reports
- Support business unit and finance director/analysts on various analyses
- Complete projects directly linked to the Finance Team efficiency initiatives
- Providing intern report out at conclusion of role to steering committee

Qualifications
What you will need to bring to the program
Avery Dennison has a long history of being an industry leader. Your history is important to us. It should include the following:
Education
- Pursuing a BS in Finance or Business or related field required.
*Reliable Transportation to and from work is required*
Preferred Experience
- Previous internship/co-op experience or relevant work experience (a plus)
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, and experience in building financial models (a plus)
- Experience via student organizations, such as Beta Alpha Psi, Association of Latino Professionals of America, Multicultural Business Association, Finance Association, Women in Finance, etc.
- Volunteerism or similar activities
