Job Description

We have an immediate need for a degreed Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, at least 2-3 years of accounting experience with payroll accounting in their background; strong skills in Microsoft Excel; ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and composure; strict attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication techniques; superb organizational skill; a positive attitude along with a professional demur and a willingness to learn.

Primary Responsibilities:

Position will perform financial analysis and general accounting duties including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Posting of weekly and semi-monthly US payroll from ADP into the various general ledgers. Produce and distribute weekly overtime reports.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual AIP (bonus) calculations for Graphics, Reflective, Tapes/Vancive, and all other North American LPM divisions.
  • Monthly closing – prepare various payroll journal entries, related but not limited to, ex-patriots, vacation accruals, bonus accruals, payroll taxes, etc... Prepare accurate and timely account reconciliations.
  • Ownership of Corporate Service Center Allocation process. This includes but is not limited to creating the standard monthly entries on an annual basis and ensuring accurate invoicing on a quarterly basis.
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end corporate schedules.
  • Treasury administrator – password resets, review inactive accounts, etc.
  • Implement process improvements related to payroll processing.
  • Assist in the coordination of SOX activities related to payroll and treasury admin functions
  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Other Corporate General Accounting duties as required.
  • Culture Alignment: drive evolution of accountability, collaboration, and trust across the organization and proactively link responsibilities to key OGSM metrics
  • Personal Development: utilize Avery Dennison Performance Management System and tools to improve professional and personal development.

Education + Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.
  • 2-3 years experience in Accounting or Finance with some payroll exposure
  • Team player with excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required
  • Proficiency in PC skills (Word, Excel, etc…)
  • Exposure to Oracle ERP a plus
  • Strong demonstration of business ethics and integrity.
