Job Description

1.Lead and coordinate product development efforts and insure that newly developed or localized products meet the design objectives and appropriate standards in the agreed timing.

2.Develop new adhesives and adhesive formulations when needed to meet project requirements

3.Work with procurement and material suppliers to source and qualify new raw materials for new product development

4.Focus on creating and implementing manufacturable and cost effective Pressure Sensitive Tape designs and then provide Engineering support to the transition process to production. Follow-up until the products are turned-over to Production.

5.Work closely with the Sales and Product Management to get full understanding of market, customer, product application or product requirements.

6.Establish and document full product and performance requirement specifications which will be used during the component and construction development AND will function as the benchmark for final project evaluation.

7.Consult with European and US colleagues to screen whether there are existing products or components which meet the requirements. When needed transition EU and US product to local manufacturing.

8.Follow the company EHS regulations, process and SOP instructions. Complete EHS training and pass the evaluation before on-boarding.

9.Maintain Lab safety during product development.

10.Good knowledge on ISO 9001, IATF 16949;

11.Familiar with APQP, PPAP, MSA, FMEA and SPC;

Qualifications

1.Experience with adhesives and resins used for PSA tapes in Automotive & Electronics Industries.

2.Experience with formulating adhesives to meet requirements of application

3.Experience with lab equipment and testing for PSA tapes

4.Four years experience with new product development

5.English skills in writing and speaking

6.Master or above in chemistry or polymer science or equivalent
