Job Description

We are looking for a person passionate in data science with expertise in semiconductor market data processing, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support strategic decisions for a global Tier‑1 automotive organization.

We are looking for a personality passionate in data analytics and business intelligence to create transparency in the semiconductor market for AUMOVIO.

Tasks include:

  • Build AI/ML predictive models to forecast semiconductor supply, demand, pricing, lead times, and risk scenarios (geo‑politics, technology transitions, capacity shifts).
  • Develop automated market‑intelligence pipelines integrating data from suppliers, foundries, market trackers, government releases, and financial sources.
  • Create executive‑ready dashboards and insights in Power BI, Share Point Sites, and Power Point presentations (or equivalent) with strong storytelling for Purchasing leadership.
  • Maintain and evolve a semiconductor technology and capacity database (nodes, wafer transitions 200→300mm, packaging, yield intelligence, CAPEX trends).
  • Perform statistical deep‑dive analyses to detect anomalies, market signals, price‑volume correlations, and supply bottlenecks.
  • Drive data governance and data quality frameworks across Purchasing, Engineering, and Category Management.
  • Support negotiation teams with fact‑based intelligence, cost modeling inputs, and competitor benchmarking.
  • Provide quarterly market outlooks and ad‑hoc crisis intelligence during disruptions

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Academic background in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3–7 years hands‑on experience in data science, market intelligence, or semiconductor analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of the semiconductor supply chain, including:
    • Foundry vs IDM models
    • Technology nodes
    • Packaging & test capacity
    • Cost drivers (FE / BE processes)
    • Geo‑political risk clusters
  • Proven experience with ETL and data processing (KNIME, Alteryx, DatabricksPython, or similar).
  • Advanced proficiency with Power BI, DAX modeling, and dashboard automation.
  • Practical experience in machine learning (forecasting models, regression, clustering, time‑series prediction).
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable management insights.
  • Strong ownership, structured working style, high drive, and ability to work cross‑functionally.
  • Occasional international travel.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with LLM‑powered knowledge extraction for internal market reports.
  • Understanding of semiconductor CAPEX cycles, TAM/SAM modeling, and pricing architecture.
  • Familiarity with automotive quality and PPAP processes.
  • Exposure to supplier negotiation support or purchasing environments.
