Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Engineer (m/f/diverse) for Optical Systems to join our Advanced Development Team (Head-Up Displays) in Babenhausen, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing advanced optical systems for cutting-edge imaging applications.

Your tasks will be: 

  • Develop next-level optical concepts for projection systems and head-up displays
  • Analyze and optimize optical designs according to image quality metrics
  • Specify requirements on light sources, image generators, optical components and provide inputs for temperature management in automotive applications
  • Drive innovation at product and system level, in collaboration with internal & external partners
  • Collaborate with internal expert community to ensure strategic fit from technology level to product level solutions

Qualifications

  • Academic Degree in Engineering Science (e.g. Physics or Optical Engineering)
  • Several years of professional experience in projection projects, preferably in the Automotive Industry
  • Experience in programming, especially in optical simulation environment (Zemax OpticStudio, ASAP, CODE V) and MatLab/Python
  • Good knowledge of using MS-Office Tools
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken German and English
  • Intercultural competency
  • Capability of Teamwork
