Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW:

 Join our team and perform clerical and technology support in a comfortable, cozy setting. We are currently looking for a cheerful, Administrative Assistant who enjoys administrative work while establishing relationships with our residents, their families, friends and visitors. JOB DETAILS

Job Type: FT

Location: Auburn Meadows, Waconia, MN

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Receive and follow reception schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
  • Operate telephone system as required.
  • Greet visitors. Direct to appropriate office and/or resident room.
  • Assist Life Enrichment with special events for residents as needed.
  • Assist with administrative duties as directed. (Includes typing, filing, posting accounts, etc.)
  • Assist Managers with special projects as needed.
  • Assist department directors in administrative matters. (i.e., typing reports, correspondence, etc.)
  • Assist in maintaining an environment that achieves high quality care (physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual) of residents and maintain their independence and dignity to the highest degree possible.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience in a clerical position, or successfully completed a secretarial science program from an accredited school/college.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all staff and residents.
  • Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Must possess a cheerful personality and be able to work harmoniously with other personnel.
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute and operate a computer.
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers, input/output/retrieval data, etc.
  • Must have intermediate level knowledge in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be knowledgeable of printers, fax, and scanners.
