Job Description
As Director of Security at Cambridge House, you will lead all aspects of safety and security, ensuring guests, team members, and assets are protected while maintaining the warmth, discretion, and refined service standards that define Cambridge House. You will oversee and develop a professional security team, implement robust procedures, and integrate safety seamlessly into daily operations, providing guidance and strategic advice to senior leadership to safeguard the hotel, its people, and its reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of security operations across Cambridge House, ensuring the safety and well-being of guests, team members, and assets.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and protocols that are both proactive and responsive to operational and regulatory requirements.
Oversee risk assessments, incident management, and emergency preparedness, ensuring the property and team members are equipped to handle any situation calmly and efficiently.
Collaborate closely with all hotel departments to integrate security into daily operations while maintaining a welcoming and discreet presence.
Recruit, train, and develop a professional security team that operates with confidence, professionalism, and respect.
Monitor compliance with legal, licensing, and health and safety standards, keeping senior leadership informed of risks, trends, and improvements.
Oversee recruitment, training, and ongoing development, ensuring every team member is equipped to deliver outstanding service.
Maintain a visible and approachable presence, ensuring guests and team members feel reassured and supported without intrusion.
Provide strategic input on capital projects, operational changes, and events to ensure security considerations are embedded in all planning.
Qualifications
Experienced in leadership within luxury hospitality.
Ability to implement robust procedures, manage risk, and respond effectively under pressure.
Ensures the safety of guests without compromising a warm, welcoming, and discreet environment.
Motivates, supports, and develops a confident and professional security team.
Calm, confident, and solutions-oriented, with excellent judgment and decision-making under pressure.
Proactive in identifying risks, implementing preventive measures, and continuously improving safety standards.
