The targeted compensation range for this full time year round, exempt position is $175,000-$200,000/year. The position offers a competitive compensation package presented by Auberge Collection.
Job Description
As the Area Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies across Hotel Jerome, Auberge Collection in Aspen, Colorado; Madeline Hotel & Residences, Auberge Collection in Telluride, Colorado; and Element 52 in Telluride, Colorado. This role will drive brand awareness, positioning, and business objectives across these distinctive luxury properties while ensuring each maintains its unique identity and connection to its destination.
Strategic Commercial Leadership
- Develop and lead annual marketing strategies and budgets across Hotel Jerome, Madeline Hotel & Residences, and Element 52 to deliver revenue goals, brand positioning, and market opportunities.
- Leverage customer and property-level data, including ADR, occupancy, need periods, and market mix, to develop targeted marketing objectives and measurable 360 tactics across awareness, demand, retention, and key business drivers.
- Partner closely with Revenue Management and Sales to drive demand and optimize performance across all three properties.
- Manage marketing budgets and allocate investment to maximize ROI and measurable business impact.
Brand Positioning & Partnerships
- Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that reinforce each property’s unique luxury positioning, identity, and sense of place.
- Serve as brand guardian, ensuring the Auberge Collection brand and each property’s positioning are consistently and authentically embodied across guest-facing touchpoints.
- Oversee holistic content strategy and storytelling across all channels, ensuring elevated execution and brand alignment.
- Lead creative asset development, including photography, video, copy, visual identity, and collateral, ensuring a consistent and elevated voice across channels.
- Concept and manage strategic partnerships across culinary, fashion, wellness, art, design, lifestyle, and culture that strengthen brand equity, enhance the guest experience, and drive incremental demand and revenue.
- Elevate each property’s epicurean positioning in partnership with culinary and beverage leaders through compelling storytelling, programming, events, and collaborations.
- Monitor industry trends, cultural movements, and competitor activity to inform strategy and maintain brand relevance.
Integrated 360 Marketing
- Develop and lead integrated 360 marketing strategies and campaigns across digital, paid media, social, PR, partnerships, CRM, and on-property channels.
- Ensure channel strategies are cohesive and aligned with each property’s positioning and commercial priorities.
- Lead social media strategy and content creation, ensuring platforms authentically reflect each property while maintaining Auberge Collection brand standards and driving engagement.
PR & Communications
- Oversee public relations and influencer marketing, including agency partnerships, influencer collaborations, media stays, and strategic storytelling that drive awareness, relevance, and buzz.
- Cultivate relationships with media, tastemakers, community partners, and key stakeholders across Aspen, Telluride, and priority luxury markets.
Performance & Digital Marketing
- Drive audience growth, engagement, and conversion through data-informed marketing initiatives.
- Track and analyze campaign and channel performance using data and insights to optimize strategy and investment.
- Partner closely with digital performance teams and external agencies to optimize paid media strategy, audience targeting, and campaign effectiveness.
- Oversee digital advertising across paid search, paid social, and programmatic channels to ensure media investment supports commercial priorities and demand generation.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as a key member of the properties’ Executive Committees, contributing to overall business strategy and planning.
- Foster strong collaboration across Operations, Revenue, Sales, F&B, and Experience teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
- Lead and develop the area marketing team
- Approve key guest-facing marketing touchpoints to ensure a consistent and elevated brand experience across the customer journey.
- Present marketing strategy, performance, and key initiatives to property leadership, corporate teams, and ownership stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of developing and executing integrated marketing strategies within luxury hospitality, lifestyle, fashion, design, or premium consumer brands.
- This is an in-market preferred, Executive Committee role, with regular travel between Aspen and Telluride.
- Strong experience managing multi-channel marketing ecosystems, including digital, paid media, PR, social, content, CRM, and partnerships.
- Proven track record of developing culturally relevant marketing campaigns and integrated 360 strategies that strengthen brand positioning and drive measurable business performance.
- Experience leading creative campaign development, public relations initiatives, strategic partnerships, and high-profile brand events.
- Strong business and financial acumen, with fluency in performance metrics, ROI, and hospitality demand drivers including ADR, occupancy, and market mix.
- Expertise in tracking, analyzing, and optimizing marketing performance across digital platforms.
- Refined understanding of luxury style, design, brand nuance, and guest experience, with the ability to translate brand vision into distinctive property-level expressions.
- Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams, cross-functional stakeholders, external agencies, and strategic partners.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of initiative, ownership, and self-direction, with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic multi-property environment.
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leadership, ownership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- This is an in-market, property-based Executive Committee role, with regular travel between Aspen and Telluride.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
