Job Description
Susurros del Corazón is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the overall commercial strategy for the resort, with direct oversight of Sales and Marketing while partnering closely with Revenue Management, Public Relations, and Communications functions.
This executive leadership role is responsible for developing and executing integrated commercial strategies that maximize revenue performance, strengthen brand positioning, expand market share, and drive long-term profitability across all segments.
The position may be based on property in Punta de Mita, Nayarit, or remotely within Mexico, with regular travel to the resort as required.
- Develop and execute the resort’s annual and long-term commercial strategy aligned with financial and brand objectives.
- Lead and integrate Sales and Marketing efforts while collaborating closely with Revenue Management, PR, and Communications teams to ensure alignment across all commercial initiatives.
- Lead the development and execution of strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with key luxury travel advisors, agency partners, wholesalers, meeting planners, and industry stakeholders.
- Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, print, partnerships, and experiential platforms.
- Ensure brand consistency and alignment with Auberge Collection standards and positioning.
- Partner closely with Revenue Management leadership to support pricing, inventory, segmentation, and distribution strategies that maximize profitability.
- Analyze market intelligence, pace reports, forecasting, and competitive trends to inform commercial decision-making.
- Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial team while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Prepare and manage annual commercial budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a dynamic luxury hospitality leader with deep expertise across commercial disciplines and a strong understanding of the Mexican luxury travel market, international feeder markets, and ultra-luxury guest expectations. The successful candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of Revenue Management, Public Relations, and Communications in order to effectively guide and align the resort’s overarching commercial strategy.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive commercial leadership experience within luxury hospitality.
- Proven experience leading Sales and Marketing functions within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Strong understanding of Revenue Management, Public Relations, and Communications strategies within luxury hospitality.
- Luxury hospitality experience in Mexico or international luxury leisure destinations strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of luxury travel networks, consortia, and international feeder markets.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and market positioning within a luxury environment.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience interpreting market and performance data.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
- Experience with hotel systems and commercial platforms including Delphi, CRM systems, revenue management tools, and digital marketing platforms preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed and maintain strong on-property engagement if remotely based.
