Job Description

The Vice President, Commercial Performance will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and will focus on driving hotel sales, marketing and overall commercial performance for the hotels. The role will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to a regional cluster of hotels to help shape their business and sales & marketing strategy to deliver on the positioning, revenue and financial targets for the properties.  

The role will be focused on driving commercial performance by supporting the evolution and empowerment of our commercial field organization.  This key leader will drive a complementary way of working between the Auberge Collection Home Office (AU) and the field, support owner alignment & relationships and ensure we are creating and implementing optimized commercial strategies that are maximizing revenue at each property.  

 

  • Serve as the key senior Home Office S&M lead to engage with and influence ownership groups 

  • Partner with Home Office departments; finance, portfolio management, global sales, marketing communications, e-commerce & revenue optimization 

  • Guide and partner field (Regional VP’s, General Managers and the local/area sales and marketing teams), achieving the properties revenue goals. 

  • Inspire, develop and guide field teams to drive sales and marketing innovation and performance excellence across their portfolio of hotels and residential properties. 

  • Key stakeholder in strategically positioning each property in a unique manner to attract very high-end luxury travelers to increase market share. 

  • Lead and influence hotels in the development and implementation of effective sales & marketing plans to meet topline and bottom line financial goals and focus on driving RevPAR Index growth vs competitive set. 

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in hotel sales & marketing leadership overseeing multiple hotels (15+), preferably within a luxury hotel company. 

  • Demonstrated success with P&L responsibility, including time in experientially driven high-end hotels. 

  • Strong relationship-builder with success in influencing ownership groups and delivering results.

  • Driven, innovative and a strong team-player.

  • Ability to set strategy, collaborate as well as execute strategies while inspiring others with their vision. 

  • Solid understanding and appreciation of the high-end, luxury consumer market

  • Strong desire to be a leader in an innovative, fast-paced organization that has high standards of excellence. 

  • Has a strong understanding of the style, design and nuance of luxury that is required to create a distinctive soul of the place for each property. 

  • Experience with luxury residential, brand launches and/or a start up environment is helpful

  • Language capabilities to include; English, Spanish, French & Italian is also helpful 

The Vice President, Commercial Performance role offers a base salary range of $275k-300k plus an annual bonus as well as comprehensive medical, dental, vision and voluntary benefits, 401k employer match, employer paid life insurance and an employee assistance program and a team member hotel stay program.
