Job Description

We are currently recruiting for 3 Technicians in our Sample Reception department to cover our upcoming Dairy Season.  These roles are fixed term for 6-9 months. Our laboratory is open 7 days a week with rosters between 6am and 8:30pm.  You will need to be flexible as most of our team work a weekend day in their roster.

Based at our Lynfield Laboratory you will be part of the largest Food Testing Laboratory in the Southern Hemisphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unpacking samples checking sample integrity on arrival.
  • Registration of samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Maintaining temperature records and keeping training records up to date.
  • Splitting/subsampling samples by applying aseptic techniques for subsampling processes. 

Key Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work overtime at short notice is ideal.
  • Good physical fitness, able to lift 10Kg on a routine basis.
  • Experience in a food laboratory, retail, hospitality, or production environment would be an advantage.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to consistently producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly regulated and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A proactive approach to workplace safety.

Qualifications

Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a regulated environment with some knowledge of quality procedures. Good eye for detail and at least basic computer literacy.
