Job Description
The Sr Director of Total Rewards is responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of benefits and compensation strategies to ensure that programs align with business objectives and values, are market competitive, and positively impact the organization’s ability to attract, reward, and retain top talent. The position will provide entity-wide support, and will work closely with a broad range of internal and external partners, including business leaders, HR business partners and other HR members, the corporate HR team, finance, and legal to understand business needs and develop effective solutions. The role will also ensure full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Head of Human Resources at Aspen One.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $175,000 to $225,000 annually. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation and governance of competitive, integrated total reward strategies
- Ensure that the company's philosophy, strategy and practice related to compensation, and benefits are aligned to organizational values, strategy and performance
- Oversee the provision of a full suite of compensation programs across verticals and for the corporate teams
- Ensure the completion of annual benefits and compensation surveys to ensure market competitiveness
- Oversee design, cost-benefit analysis, and administration of the benefits programs to ensure the company provides comprehensive, market competitive, easy to use, and cost-effective benefits offerings
- Partner closely with HR Business partners in the development of key frameworks, including promotion guidelines, career ladders, levelling criteria/frameworks
- Work closely with the Head of HR and the shared services HR team to prepare materials for executive review
- Create and manage vendor relationships for total rewards programs, including the negotiation of services, with focus on long-term value and cost
- Cultivate strong service-oriented rapport with leaders and internal partners, based on a high level of collaboration and flexibility of thought in order to understand and achieve total rewards needs that align with business objectives
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and team engagement through strong leadership capability
- Supervise, guide, and foster the professional development of the total rewards and payroll team which consists of benefits, compensation, workers compensation, payroll, and HRIS
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements
- MBA or Master’s degree in a related field
- 10+ years of progressive, relevant total rewards experience, including design and implementation of total rewards programs
- Prior experience managing compensation and benefits including 401(k) plans
- Prior experience with corporate governance, including employment labor laws and regulations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Deep knowledge of how business strategy affects total rewards

- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to develop and execute strategies at an organizational level
- Ability to think strategically and provide total rewards-related advice at an executive level

- Ability to execute against multiple high priority projects through exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
- Ability to build and manage strong relations with professional networks, and leverage industry knowledge and research skills to identify key insights
Additional Information
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Work is performed in a standard office environment
- Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
- No adverse or hazardous conditions
- Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
