Job Description

Summary
The Guest Safety Representative oversees the Cloud Nine restaurant operation specifically to ensure that guests are able to safely ski/ride from the restaurant to the base area. Identify guests who are unable to ski/ride safely & arrange Snowcat transportation to the base area.

Essential Job Functions
•    Ensure the security of guests and property
•    Assess intoxication levels of guests using TIPS training guidelines
•    Notify restaurant management of any guests who show signs of intoxication, to prevent further service of alcohol
•    Operate the Snowcat as needed to provide transportation to guests who are unable to safely ski/ride to the base
•    Coordinate with Restaurant Management regarding any illegal activity related to drug use, or consumption of alcohol products that could jeopardize the establishments liquor license
•    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

•    Must be 18 years or older
•    Ability to operate a snowcat or willingness to learn required
•    Must be able to pass DMV check
•    College graduate preferred
•    Prior guest service experience is preferred
•    Previous security experience is an advantage
•    TIPS Certified preferred
•    Ability to communicate and follow oral or written directions in English is required
•    Ability to ski or ride at an intermediate level is required for employees of ski in/ski out restaurants in winter

Supervision Given and Received
Supervision Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Supervision Received: Works under direct supervision of the Restaurant Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
•    Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
•    Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
•    Must be able to continually lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
•    This position, in certain locations, will require an employee to ski or snowboard
