Job Description

This Analyst of Strategy Analytics will play a key role in elevating the outcomes of strategic initiatives by uncovering key insights from data. As part of the Strategy team, you will help bring strategies to life from conception to implementation and optimization by gathering and visualizing data, storytelling through presentations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, influencing senior leadership on critical decisions, and measuring the performance of initiatives after implementation. This is a high-impact enterprise role responsible for leading enterprise/ business strategic initiatives, developing actionable insights leveraging market/ financial data, and partnering with cross-functional business leaders in collaboration with the SVP of Strategy and VP of Enterprise Development. 

This position can be based out of Aspen or Denver, with the potential for hybrid remote flexibility.  The pay range for this position is $79,134 - $102,984.  All exempt roles are eligible for a management incentive plan.

Essential Functions:

  • Strategy Development:
    • Support leadership team to define challenges, develop strategy and provide solutions
    • Partner with project teams to refine recommendations and critical insights
  • Data Collection and Analysis:
    • Collect and analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
    • Translate insights into actionable recommendations through visual presentation, benchmarks and case studies, and story development
    • Research and bring to life examples of best practices in support of strategic pillars
    • Use various models and tools to derive actionable insights
    • Communicate findings in a compelling and understandable manner
  • Financial Modeling:
    • Develop and maintain financial and analytical models to support strategic decision-making
    • Conduct research and analysis to assess the impact of strategic initiatives on performance
    • Create forecasting and tradeoff models to add structure to ambiguity
  • Performance Measurement:
    • Manage project plan timelines in support of key milestones and outcomes
    • High degree of attention to detail and analytical rigor
    • Establish and monitor key metrics to track the success of strategic initiatives.
    • Provide regular reporting and analysis on financial and operational performance to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required, with focus on economics, finance, data analytics, philosophy, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, business analytics, or management consulting, or corporate strategy function
  • Passion for excellence, hospitality, and the outdoors
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities and business acumen
  • Experience and pride in organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to distill complex information in a rigorous but consumable way
  • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
  • Experience within Hospitality, Resorts, CPG/retail, luxury or brand-centric industry
  • Ability to develop a cohesive ‘story’ to communicate key recommendations by leveraging disparate data points/ learnings, and to effectively communicate to key stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively & effectively with cross-functional leaders and their teams

Supervision Given and Recieved

Supervision Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Supervision Recieved: Works under limited supervision of the Vice President of Enterprise Development. Receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall objectives and is responsible for establishing strategical methods to attain them. Can formulate policies but does not necessarily have final authority for approval. Review of work is not detailed and emphasizes accomplishment of broad work objectives, rather than specific assignments.
