Schedule and Compensation
- Full-time, 40 hours weekly
- Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm
- Occasional evenings required
- Salary range $50,000 - $56,500
Job Description
Asbury Communities is seeking a dynamic and experienced healthcare professional for the role of Activity Manager at Ivy Gables in Wilmington, DE
The Activity Manager will create, plan, and implement a vital program of recreation that stimulates residents cognitively, culturally, creatively, psychology, spiritually, and physically and promotes individual and group pleasure and social interaction.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Proactively drive the development, implementation and maintenance of the Arts and Entertainment infrastructure.
- Provide day to day direction to Arts and Entertainment associates, resident care associates, drivers and volunteers.
- Plan, assign and direct work while providing continuous coaching and mentoring on standards and policies.
- Implement work plans and procedures.
- Provide training and mentoring to Arts and Entertainment associates and volunteers.
- Complete meet and greet sessions with all new residents and complete Resident Interest Survey.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to establish a standard associates schedule that adequately and cost efficiently staffs the Arts and Entertainment department.
- Drive and operate the vehicle, ensuring safe and efficient transportation for passengers.
- Provides transportation and related services for special events, trips, and medical appointments.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Activity Director Certification (ADC) Required
- Minimum of 5 years management or supervisory experience with a dependent, Alzheimer's disease/dementia adult population.
- Experience working with older adults or in the retirement housing industry preferred.
- Associates degree required in recreation or related field.
