Job Description

  • Manage and coordinate interfaces between engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and other project functions.
  • Identify, track, and resolve technical and contractual interface issues.
  • Coordinate with clients, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain an Interface Management Plan and interface registers.
  • Monitor interface deliverables, responsibilities, dependencies, and deadlines.
  • Facilitate interface meetings and ensure timely closure of action items.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering interfaces, including Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, Piping, Process, and Structural disciplines.
  • Review technical documents and identify potential interface conflicts.
  • Ensure effective communication between project teams and external stakeholders.
  • Support construction and commissioning teams in resolving site interface issues.
  • Maintain interface matrices, trackers, logs, and related project documentation.
  • Escalate critical interface issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Ensure interfaces are managed in accordance with project specifications, contractual requirements, HSE standards, and applicable Oil & Gas standards.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineering Managers, Construction Managers, and other discipline leads to minimize delays and rework.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering — Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation, Process, or related discipline.
  • Usually 8–10+ years of EPC / Oil & Gas experience for an Interface Engineer.
  • Experience in ADNOC projects is highly advantageous for UAE positions.
  • Strong experience in interface management, stakeholder coordination, and multidisciplinary project execution.
  • Experience with Interface Registers, Interface Matrices, RACI, Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and action trackers.
  • Good knowledge of EPC project lifecycle and engineering deliverables.
  • Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
