Archirodon has been awarded a major Oil & Gas EPC project in UAE, and is currently building a team of experienced Commissioning Engineer, who will be based in our site Office.
Job Description
- Review and interpret GA drawings, equipment layout drawings, vendor drawings, datasheets, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Prepare and review technical submittals, method statements, material submittals, lifting plans (as applicable), RFIs, and Technical Queries (TQs).
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, QA/QC, vendors, and planning teams to resolve technical issues related to equipment installation.
- Ensure equipment installation complies with ADNOC standards, project specifications, OEM requirements, and applicable international codes (API, ASME, ISO).
- Review equipment installation procedures, alignment requirements, grouting, torque values, preservation requirements, and commissioning documentation.
- Monitor engineering revisions and ensure the latest approved drawings and vendor documents are available for construction.
- Review Material Take-Offs (MTOs), equipment specifications, and support procurement during material and equipment evaluation.
- Coordinate with Document Control to maintain engineering records and ensure proper document revision control.
- Participate in constructability reviews and provide technical solutions to support safe and efficient installation.
- Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, mechanical completion, and preparation of as-built documentation and handover dossiers.
- Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
Additional Information
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in mechanical equipment engineering or technical office functions within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Minimum 3 years of experience on ADNOC projects or similar GCC Oil & Gas facilities is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of installation requirements for static and rotating equipment.
- Experience with pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, filters, skids, and packaged equipment.
- Familiarity with ADNOC engineering standards, project specifications, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.
- Good understanding of API, ASME, ISO, OEM standards, and mechanical installation practices.
- Excellent coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment installation, alignment, grouting, preservation, and testing.
- Ability to review vendor drawings, datasheets, equipment layouts, and mechanical installation procedures.
- Knowledge of international engineering standards including API, ASME, ISO, and ADNOC specifications.
- Experience preparing RFIs, Technical Queries (TQs), method statements, and material submittals.
- Good understanding of mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning processes.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and technical reporting skills.
