Job Description
What you will need to do:
- Analyze tender specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and other quantitative reports as required.
- Prepare material and subcontractor enquiries.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure comprehensive and consistent quotations are received.
- Evaluate material and subcontractor quotations.
- Develop detailed cost estimates including both direct and indirect costs.
- Assist in the preparation of the tender schedule.
- Create Level 2 schedules.
- Assist in the compilation of technical submittals.
- Maintain comprehensive records of cost estimation data, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for future reference.
- Prepare risk and opportunity analyses.
- Perform commercial engineering tasks, including selling price analysis and pricing estimates.
- Prepare basic cash flow scenarios.
- Coordinate with other departments to obtain specialist input required for tenders.
- Prepare and present internal and external presentations (clients/partners).
- Prepare interfacing plans, DORs, BOQ splits, and other JV/consortium-related documents.
- Liaise with partners to ensure comprehensive and consistent joint tender preparation.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in at least two completed projects of similar scope and complexity (international project experience is highly recommended).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent English language skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
