Job Description

The finance analyst is responsible for preparation and filing of various tax returns. The candidate will process and reconcile tax related transactions with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. The candidate will provide support.

  • Prepare Quarterly and annual Municipal tax returns
  • Prepare weekly FICA deposit report & check request
  • Prepare Quarterly FICA returns
  • Prepare semi-weekly FET deposits
  • Prepare and file Quarterly FET returns
  • Process wire transfer requests for tax payments
  • Kentucky Municipal Tax - PosiTax reconciliations
  • Process journal entries
  • Electronic filings of premium tax and assessments
  • Copying, Scanning & Filing of premium tax returns
  • Processing check request to CoreIntegrator
  • Process state income tax payments
  • Mailing and filing of state income tax returns
  • Prepare supporting documents for premium tax returns

 

 

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Great Plains General Ledger
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • BS in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or related discipline

Technical skills required:
MS Office, MS Excel, Financial Systems, Accounting Experience

Additional Information

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree  in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). CPA is a plus.
