Strategic Analytics is a growing team at Arch that has established itself as a driving force in the success of the business. We focus on implementing real-time analytic solutions that improve profitability and growth. To broaden our impact, we have expanded our focus to deliver business-driven intelligent data automation capabilities that combine data from external vendors with intelligent document processing (IDP) technologies. This includes working with artificial intelligence/machine learning, NLP, OCR, generative AI, and algorithmic-based solutions.

As a key member of the Strategic Analytics team, you will support the solution definition, build and implementation of IDP/AI opportunities across operations, claims, finance, and underwriting teams.  You will apply the right mix of technologies across the underwriting and claims functions.

• Deliver automated document extraction and data enrichment solutions.
• Manipulate data using R or SQL Server; develop advanced ad hoc queries to investigate data anomalies and to summarize data for pattern detection
• Develop round-trip data flows that prepare data for IDP and format the results for analytical purposes
• Collaborate with experienced modelers to build predictive models and analytic solutions using Python or R; apply techniques such as NLP, decision trees, and clustering.
• Execute proof-of-concepts to evaluate the business value of internal tooling and external vendors/ data.
• Use AI technologies such as natural language processing to extract business data from unstructured and semi-structured sources (e.g., loss history reports, insurance applications, claim files, application scraping using OCR/ generative AI, etc.).
• Create technical documentation to archive end-to-end processes
• Impact Analysis - awareness of how changes, including new or updated processes and automations will impact the business operations and customers.

• A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from datasets
• Ideally, 3+ years of experience in an engineering role or equivalent using Python
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Excellent critical thinking skills in order to tackle complex data challenges
• Comfortable working in a fast paced and highly collaborative global team
• Experience configuring & establishing automations utilizing IDP software solutions is a huge plus
• Experience identifying opportunities for improving business processes
• The ideal candidate will have experience working in the insurance industry
• Experience with OCR, NLP, and/or image analytics is a plus
• Experience with cloud technologies and is a plus

BS in Computer Science, Information Technology degree, Data Analytics or equivalent
