Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Chef Supervisor to join our team in Bicester, OX25 1PZ. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced catering professional to take on a supervisory role within a large-scale kitchen operation, helping to deliver high-quality meals while supporting the development and supervision of enhanced inmates in a secure environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Collaborating with a team of chefs and enhanced inmates to deliver meals three times per day
  • Supervising and assisting enhanced inmates within the kitchen operation
  • Preparing quality food items in line with set menus and production requirements
  • Supporting the delivery of a safe, efficient, and professional catering service
  • Ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised, and compliant with food safety standards
  • Conducting stock checks and ensuring stock is managed effectively
  • Completing all relevant paperwork, records, and due diligence documentation accurately
  • Managing challenging situations professionally and dealing with conflict where necessary
  • Supporting food safety, health & safety, and operational compliance procedures
  • Undertaking training and development activities as required

Qualifications

About you

  • Previous supervisory experience within a catering or hospitality environment
  • Relevant culinary qualification
  • Experience working in a large-scale kitchen
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to motivate and support others while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A positive, proactive, and team-focused approach
  • Ability to work effectively in a secure environment and follow strict procedures

Additional Information

  • You must have lived in the UK continuously for the past 5 years and have the legal right to work in the UK
  • The successful candidate will be required to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
