Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Driver to join our team in Bridgend, CF35 6AP. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy operation where you'll play a key role in transporting food safely across the site while maintaining the highest standards of security, safety, and service.
This is a physically demanding role and is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, working as part of a team, and taking pride in delivering an essential service.

What you'll be doing
- Collecting hot food trolleys from residential wings each morning using the secure airlock collection process, ensuring all security procedures are followed
- Safely manoeuvring heavy hot food trolleys, loading them onto the delivery vehicle, and transporting them to the main kitchen
- Delivering loaded hot food trolleys to residential wings for lunch and evening meal services
- Using radio communication to arrange collections with prison officers
- Collecting empty trolleys following meal services and returning them to the main kitchen
- Assisting with receiving supplier deliveries and checking goods against delivery documentation
- Supporting the safe storage and rotation of stock
- Working appropriately alongside prisoners assigned to the kitchen and stores areas
- Maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to all site security requirements
- Following food safety, health & safety, and operational procedures at all times
Qualifications
About you
- Valid Category C1 driving licence required (including automatic C1 entitlement where applicable).
- Ability to work in a secure environment and follow strict procedures
- Positive, proactive attitude with strong teamwork skills
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Reliable and flexible approach to work
- Previous logistics, delivery, warehouse, or driving experience is advantageous
