Job Description
Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Bridgend, CF35 6AP. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy catering operation, supporting the delivery of quality meals while developing your skills within a supportive and rewarding environment.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work alongside a team of chefs and enhanced inmates to help deliver meals three times a day. You will support the smooth running of the kitchen operation, ensuring high standards of food preparation, cleanliness, and compliance are maintained at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with a team of chefs and enhanced inmates to deliver meals three times daily
- Supervising and assisting enhanced inmates within the kitchen unit
- Preparing basic quality food within a set pre-ordered menu
- Ensuring the kitchen is clean, tidy, and maintained to required standards
- Carrying out stock checks and ensuring stock is managed correctly
- Completing all relevant paperwork and due diligence records
- Supporting a positive team environment and handling conflict professionally when required
- Following food safety, health and safety, and company procedures
- Undertaking relevant training as required
- Supporting the wider catering team to ensure excellent service delivery

Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- Previous supervisory experience
- Relevant culinary qualification
- Experience working in a large-scale kitchen environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive and flexible approach to work
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene

- Must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years
