Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a Chef to join our team in Chester, CH2 4BD. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef looking for a role with great work-life balance, no late nights, and the chance to develop their career within a supportive and professional catering team.

Job Description

As a Chef, you'll work as part of a dedicated kitchen team, delivering high-quality meals and hospitality services while maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and serving delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services with minimal waste and maximum flavour
  • Following established recipe cards and a structured four-week menu cycle to ensure consistency and quality
  • Delivering silver service-level dining for special functions and hospitality events
  • Collaborating with fellow chefs and mentoring new team members, sharing skills and supporting development
  • Assisting with deliveries, stock checks, food ordering, and kitchen record keeping
  • Completing daily due diligence paperwork accurately
  • Maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen, including fridges, hot cupboards, and food preparation areas
  • Taking part in regular deep-cleaning schedules to maintain the highest standards
  • Supporting the wider catering team to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Culinary qualification (NVQ Level 1, NVQ Level 2, or equivalent)
  • A true team player with effective communication skills
  • Confident, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Passion for producing high-quality food
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
  • Someone who enjoys sharing ideas and contributing to continuous improvement

Additional Information

  • Must be able to pass DBS and security vetting checks
  • Must have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years
  • Employment is subject to satisfactory right to work checks.
