Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a Till Assistant to join our team at Aston
University, Birmingham, B4 7ET. This is a fantastic opportunity for a friendly and
customer-focused individual looking for flexible work within a busy university catering
environment.
Job Description
As a Till Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service
while supporting the smooth operation of food and beverage service areas.
Key responsibilities include:
• Operating tills and processing cash and card transactions accurately
• Providing a friendly and professional service to customers
• Assisting customers with queries and purchases
• Replenishing stock and maintaining service areas
• Ensuring displays and counters are clean, tidy, and well-presented
• Supporting food service operations during busy periods
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Following all food safety, health and safety, and company procedures
• Working collaboratively with the wider catering team

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills
• Positive and friendly attitude
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
• Cash handling or till experience is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
