Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant to join our team in Catterick, DL9 3LS. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, delivering outstanding customer service, and being part of a supportive team.

Job Description

As a General Service Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy catering facility, ensuring excellent service standards are maintained for customers while helping to keep the workplace clean, safe, and well-stocked.

Key responsibilities include:

• Serving food and beverages to customers
• Cleaning back-of-house areas, crockery, and cutlery
• Cleaning and tidying counters, preparation areas, public areas, and light equipment/machines
• Assisting with basic cold food preparation and made-to-order services
• Restocking goods and ensuring merchandise displays are maintained appropriately
• Reporting feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock requirements, breakages, faults, or hazards to your line manager
• Completing daily paperwork and maintaining accurate records
• Following all food hygiene, food safety, and health and safety procedures
• Supporting the wider team as required to ensure excellent service delivery

• A friendly, customer-focused attitude
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
• Must be 18 years of age or over
• Basic numeracy skills
• Ability to work a variety of shifts
• Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification is desirable, although relevant training will be provided
• Strong communication skills and a positive approach to teamwork
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment

• Must have eligibility to work in the UK
• Must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
