Job Description

Location: Northwood, HA6 3HP
Hours: 20 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7, including a mixture of shifts and weekends
Contract: Part Time
Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a friendly and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team in Northwood. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with customers, working in a fast-paced retail environment, and being part of a supportive and professional team.

What you'll be doing

  • Serving customers and providing a friendly and professional service
  • Processing payments accurately through the till system
  • Keeping shelves fully stocked and displays looking attractive
  • Receiving deliveries and managing stock levels
  • Monitoring product availability and reporting stock shortages
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy retail environment
  • Following food hygiene and health & safety standards at all times
  • Supporting the opening and closing of the retail unit
  • Assisting with merchandising and promotional displays
  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver an excellent customer experience

Qualifications

  • Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not essential
  • Full training will be provided
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and occasionally on your own
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and reliable approach to work
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy retail environment
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of service and presentation

Additional Information

  • Must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Must be able to successfully pass full security vetting
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DBS check
