We are seeking an experienced and organised Cleaning Supervisor to join our team in Hipswell, United Kingdom. In this permanent position, you will oversee daily cleaning operations, lead and motivate a team of cleaning operatives, and ensure that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, a commitment to health and safety compliance, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a collaborative and supportive approach.

• Supervise, coordinate, and manage a team of cleaning operatives, ensuring they perform their duties to the required standard and providing ongoing support and mentorship
• Schedule and allocate cleaning tasks across different areas and shifts, optimising resource allocation and maintaining operational efficiency
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of cleaned areas to verify compliance with quality standards and organisational procedures
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including COSHH requirements and safe handling of cleaning materials
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance, equipment maintenance, and any incidents or concerns
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering stock as required and monitoring expenditure against budget
• Provide induction and ongoing training to cleaning staff, supporting their professional development and career progression
• Identify and implement improvements to cleaning processes and operational efficiency through analytical problem-solving
• Liaise with management, clients, and other departments to address cleaning requirements, resolve issues, and maintain customer satisfaction
• Prepare detailed reports on cleaning operations, performance metrics, and any incidents, ensuring transparency and accountability
• Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability practices in all cleaning operations

• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience, preferably in facilities management or cleaning operations
• Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in cleaning environments
• Strong organisational and time-keeping skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Excellent people skills and the ability to motivate, support, and develop a diverse team in an inclusive manner
• Attention to detail and unwavering commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise across all levels
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities with a customer-focused mindset
• Flexibility and resilience to adapt to changing operational demands and work patterns
• Proficiency in using cleaning management systems or related software (desirable)
• First Aid certification or willingness to obtain one (desirable)
• Knowledge of environmental and sustainable cleaning practices (desirable)
• Experience with budget management and cost control (desirable)
