The Company invites suitable qualified candidates to apply for the MRM Learner Official Program.

The purpose of the program is to develop competent Mining Technical Services, Officials through a structured institutional and workplace-based training in line with regulatory and operational requirements.

These roles are in 3 different disciplines Ventilation, Survey and Rock Engineering.

  • 3x Ventilation- Design and maintains the ventilation system to ensure adequate airflow to all working areas
  • 3x Survey- Conduct accurate measurements of underground and surface workings to determine positions, distances and levels
  • 3x Rock Engineering- Evaluates the strength and behavior of rock masses to ensure excavations stability, design and recommend support systems.

Number of positions:

  • 9 x External Candidates from Beneficiary Communities

This will be a 24-month structured training program

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
  • English, Mathematics and Physical Science (Compulsory)
  • Minimum of 50% for Mathematics and Physical Science
  • Minimum of 60% for English
  • Medically fit to work in a mining environment
  • No criminal record

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in structured training and development program
  • Complete logbooks and required assessments
  • Gain practical exposure in relevant mining sections
  • Adherent to safety standards and operational procedures
  • Undergo training and development initiatives in line with the training program

Additional requirements (Beneficiary communities):

  • Must originate from recognized local communities
  • Proof of residence (Letter from Traditional Authority/ Municipality)
  • Must be currently unemployed
