Namdeb Diamond Corporation invites interested individuals to be part of alluvial mining operations that offer unique challenges for professionals who wish to be part of a world-class operation.

The Challenge

To technically evaluate equipment received for repair and to determine suitable source of supply for RFQ’s as well as assisting in the witnessing of testing where required, negotiating, placing and expediting Purchase Orders for materials for Namdeb operations.

The Ideal Applicant

• Grade 12 with (20 points over 5 subjects including an E symbol in English) or National Senior Certificate, with Science, Mathematics, Drawings and recognized N3 and Trade certificate N3 Grade Certificate/ Diploma OR
• National Diploma in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management
• Code 08 B driver’s license
• Microsoft Suite Office Packages (Intermediate level)
• 2-3 Years SAP/Equivalent experience is a prerequisite
• 3–4 Years Technical experience in a Mining environment, e.g. Engineering/Mining/ Metallurgy Foreman with 5 years at supervisory level
• Knowledge of Supply Chain value concepts (strategic sourcing techniques and total cost (TCO) analysis) with a minimum of 5 years of practical implementation experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Mining processes and material requirements, class requirements, and statutory mining regulations (Added advantage)
