Job Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Director, the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor oversees his team and ensures the execution of planning. He is primarily responsible for the preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of equipment and parts management. He ensures compliance with health and safety rules by applying safe practices.
What you’re responsible for:
- Ensures continuous improvement within his department;
- Supervises maintenance in an automated production environment;
- Oversees the work of industrial mechanics and welders;
- Manages current and future equipment/parts supply needs in collaboration with the management and procurement team;
- Informs his team and managers of priorities and changes required to meet maintenance objectives;
- Develops the skills of his team on a continuous basis;
- Ensures compliance with quality, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations;
- Monitors costs;
- In collaboration with the planning department, plans and organizes preventive and corrective shutdowns, ensuring proper allocation of human and material resources to minimize downtime;
- Coordinates work and follows up with external contractors;
- Follows and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve department results."
Qualifications
To join our team:
- Completion of a DEP in Industrial Mechanics or any other equivalent experience;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial mechanics;
- Experience with hydraulic systems (an asset);
- Minimum of 3 years of team management experience;
- Excellent knowledge and skills in welding.
