Job Description

We are looking for a Labourer – Loader Operator to join our team in Drummondville.

We are seeking a candidate with experience operating a loader who is interested in a versatile role within our recycling yard. The incumbent will participate in the receipt, sorting, and shipment of ferrous metals while also operating a loader to move, load, and organize materials on site.

This position combines equipment operation with hands-on manual work. We are looking for someone who enjoys both operating machinery and actively participating in daily site operations.

What you will be responsible for :

  • Greet customers and apply established receiving procedures;
  • Receive, unload, manually sort, and inspect ferrous metals;
  • Identify different types of metals and assess their quality;
  • Operate a loader as needed to move, load, and organize materials on site;
  • Use other equipment such as forklifts and various industrial tools when required;
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with health and safety standards;
  • Perform any other related tasks to support site operations.

Qualifications

To join our team :

  • You have experience operating a loader;
  • You hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license;
  • You have experience in an industrial, recycling, or related environment (asset);
  • You have experience operating a forklift (asset);
  • You have knowledge of different types of metals (asset);
  • You are able to perform manual work and work outdoors in various weather conditions;
  • You are responsible, resourceful, punctual, safety-conscious, and enjoy working in a team.
