Job Description

Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Director of Treasury oversees all treasury activities of the company, ensuring effective cash flow management, liquidity planning, financial risk mitigation and financing strategies.

What you’re responsible for:

  • Manage daily cash positioning, cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization to ensure adequate liquidity for operational and strategic needs
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions; negotiate and oversee banking services, credit facilities and financing agreements
  • Manage and optimize the company's financing strategies, evaluate funding options and optimize debt structure to ensure long-term financial flexibility
  • Identify, assess and mitigate financial risks including foreign exchange, interest rate and counterparty risks; implement hedging strategies as needed
  • Develop and enhance treasury policies, procedures and controls ensuring regulatory and internal policy compliance
  • Lead the ongoing implementation of the Treasury Management System (TMS) and continuously improve processes leveraging technology and best practices
  • Identify and execute treasury initiatives to improve financial efficiency, reduce costs and optimize capital structure

Qualifications

To join our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Treasury certification (e.g. CTP) an asset
  • 5+ years of experience in treasury functions
  • Strong understanding of treasury operations: cash management, liquidity planning, debt financing and financial risk management
  • Ability to interpret complex treasury matters and provide practical, strategic solutions
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments and lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) an asset; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
