Job Description
AIM is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for its Montréal‑Est site, working Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for welcoming customers and directing them to the appropriate area for material unloading. The incumbent acts as a key resource in the application of health and safety rules within their area of responsibility.
What you’re responsible for:
- Confirm customer visit schedules;
- Work closely with the logistics and transportation departments;
- Greet customers courteously while following established procedures and requirements;
- Participate in the unloading of materials using various types of equipment (forklift);
- Sort and inspect different types of metals and direct them to the appropriate departments;
- Weigh metals using the scale;
- Perform data entry.
Qualifications
To join our team:
- You have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in shipping and receiving or in an industrial environment;
- You are recognized for your ability to establish and manage priorities in a fast‑paced work environment, as well as for your ability to make quick decisions;
- You are able to communicate in both French and English (functional level);
- You excel in customer service and communication and demonstrate a professional attitude;
- You have a basic knowledge of computer systems and are comfortable using management software;
- You are able to operate a forklift and are comfortable performing physical tasks.
