Job Description

AIM is currently looking for a Non‑Ferrous Receiver for its AIM Recyclage Thetford Mines site. Under the supervision of the Site Director, the incumbent will be responsible for the general maintenance of the premises. They must also contribute to the smooth functioning of production, notably by sorting ferrous and non‑ferrous metals. They must work safely by wearing personal protective equipment and by following safety instructions.

What You Are Responsible For:

  • Greeting customers and applying procedures in effect
  • Unloading, sorting, and inspecting metals
  • Identifying types of metals and checking their quality
  • Operating industrial machinery and tools (loader, forklift, torch)
  • Working outdoors in an industrial environment
  • Ensuring order and cleanliness on site and performing any other related tasks
  • Sorting different types of non‑ferrous metals
  • Classifying non‑ferrous materials and determining the type of material
  • Weighing the material
  • Performing daily maintenance
  • Carrying out general maintenance of the premises
  • Maintaining property and equipment in good condition
  • Cleaning the workstation at the end of the shift
  • Entering data into the RECY system
  • Offering prices to customers
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Assisting with torch cutting when needed
  • Preparing shipments and receiving materials
  • Wearing personal protective equipment

Qualifications
