Job Description

As the Fleet Maintenance Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the management and maintenance of the company’s fleet, including vehicles, heavy equipment, and related resources. Your focus will be on ensuring fleet reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness while leading a team of professionals. 

What You’re Responsible For: 

  • Overseeing the daily operations of fleet (on and off-road vehicles) maintenance, directly managing supervisors, mechanics, and administrative staff.
  • Collaborating with schedulers and operations teams to ensure seamless workflow, productivity, and that maintenance goals are met on time. 
  • Ensuring that all fleet vehicles and equipment meet the highest safety standards, performing quarterly assessments and planning long-term maintenance strategies. 
  • Setting performance & safety goals collaborating alongside the Health & Safety team maintain complain and achieve other goals
  • Controlling and improving internal and external fleet maintenance costs through analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning for continuous improvement. 
  • Maintaining our maintenance schedules and adjust priorities based on market demands and operational needs. 
  • Preforming performance evaluations for the maintenance team and provide opportunities for professional development. 
  • Providing recommendations on vehicle and equipment specifications and assist with procurement processes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role. 
  • Strong understanding and active knowledge of trucks, trailers, off-road, and fleet operations. 
  • Ability to manage a large team, multitask, and communicate effectively with various departments. 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets and processing invoices. 
  • Experience with fleet maintenance, including Peterbilt trucks, and a strong knowledge of hydraulics and industrial lifting equipment. 
  • Understanding of CDL-A and DOT requirements and relevant industry regulations. 
  • Willingness to travel when required.
