We are looking for a Recording Specialist for the Settlement Services teams to work on site in our El Paso, TX office to fully support portfolio volume.

Job Description

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Process incoming signed closing documentation and mail curative items needed to clear title for real estate transactions.
  • Finalize the title insurance process by recording and delivering recorded documents to clientele.
  • Coordinate with Sellers, Buyers, Lenders, clientele, vendors and internal team members to be able to resolve post-signing errors made by different parties that are needed to be able to disburse transactions timely to meet state regulatory and client needs. 
  • Examine overall title documents to review legitimacy for being able to produce title, complete any needed forms, review chain of title, request checks to submit for recording within 48 hours of disbursement
  • Contact recording offices, utility offices, tax offices to gather research needed to resolve rejects that are not clearly understood
  • Understand Resware, know where and how to gather information and where to go for file resolutions
  • Effectively communicate with onshore/offshore teams and any party to the transaction about file status
  • Monitor assigned files for follow up and follow through to complete recording activity and shipping to buyers and lenders
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

WHAT ABOUT YOU? You have...

  • Experience in Real Estate Title and deed recording (Ex. Foreclosure Law Firm), 
  • Research, review, and comprehension of real estate legal documents, Title, and recording property deeds
  • Ability to monitor and aggressively follow up a variety of complex real estate related issues
  • Organized and diligent in following up on multiple simultaneous activities
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable communicating with a broad base of stakeholders
  • Driven, with a desire to learn how to operate in an agile business
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communicational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

  • Notary a PLUS
  • Title Examination, Post Closing Documentation Control/Review experience a PLUS++
