Service Description

Cloud Infrastructure Management

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot managed and self‑hosted cloud platforms (Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Keycloak, Opensearch).
  • Apply routine updates, patches, and upgrades following internal security and compliance processes.
  • Configure and manage access controls and secrets using IAM tools and platform‑native mechanisms.
  • Maintain infrastructure configuration through Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm).
  • Produce and maintain operational and technical documentation.

DevOps & Automation

  • Support deployment workflows through CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, ArgoCD or similar.
  • Contribute to improving deployment reliability, automation, and consistency.

Monitoring & Optimization

  • Monitor system health and respond to platform incidents.
  • Escalate complex problems to senior engineers when appropriate.
  • Provide input on system capacity, performance, and improvement opportunities.

Support & Maintenance

  • Perform routine backups, restore operations, and basic disaster recovery tasks.
  • Collaborate with engineering, development, and security teams to resolve infrastructure-level issues and support platform evolution.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

  • Work with the team to design, implement, and deliver cloud components defined in the product backlog.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies (planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and iterative refinement.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud operations: provisioning, monitoring, cost awareness.
  • Knowledge of core Azure services such as:
    • Identity and Access Control
    • Virtual Networks
    • Logic Apps
    • Azure Firewall
    • VPN Gateway
    • Azure Monitoring
  • Operational experience with:
    Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, CEPH, Opensearch, Keycloak.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and container orchestration (Helm).
  • Basic scripting capabilities (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Azure DevOps, Git, ArgoCD).
  • Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, and data protection principles.

Soft Skills

  • Analytical, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills in English (French, Dutch, or German are a plus).
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with teammates.
  • Ability to follow guidance from Lead Engineers, Architects, or Operations Managers.
  • Comfortable working with ticketing, documentation, and operational tooling.

On-Call Duties

  • Willingness to participate in shift or on-call rotations in accordance with operational requirements.
