We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to join our team in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for a professional who excels in written and verbal communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration. The Communications Coordinator will support internal and external messaging efforts, maintain documentation standards, and coordinate communication strategies that align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing, editing, and distributing internal and external communications
Coordinate project timelines and ensure timely delivery of messaging materials
Maintain consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all communication channels
Collaborate with departments to gather content and ensure alignment of messaging
Draft press releases, company updates, newsletters, and executive briefs
Monitor communication trends and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Support event communication logistics and cross-department communication needs
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, or related field
1–3 years of experience in a communications or coordination role
Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
