We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to join our team in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for a professional who excels in written and verbal communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration. The Communications Coordinator will support internal and external messaging efforts, maintain documentation standards, and coordinate communication strategies that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, editing, and distributing internal and external communications

  • Coordinate project timelines and ensure timely delivery of messaging materials

  • Maintain consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all communication channels

  • Collaborate with departments to gather content and ensure alignment of messaging

  • Draft press releases, company updates, newsletters, and executive briefs

  • Monitor communication trends and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

  • Support event communication logistics and cross-department communication needs

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, or related field

  • 1–3 years of experience in a communications or coordination role

  • Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
