Job Description
We are seeking a full-time or part-time Emergency Veterinarian to join our fast-paced Emergency and Specialty team. In this role, you will provide high-quality emergency and critical care to small animal patients presenting with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. You will confidently triage, diagnose, and manage high-acuity cases while developing and implementing timely treatment plans with the support of our skilled Licensed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants.
The ideal candidate is comfortable performing emergency procedures, stabilizing critically ill or injured patients, and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our specialty services, including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, and Radiology, to ensure comprehensive and collaborative patient care.
Strong communication skills are essential, as you will regularly guide and support pet owners through stressful and emotionally challenging situations. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate and timely medical records using EzyVet and Smart Flow, participating in case discussions and continuing education opportunities, and contributing to hospital-wide training initiatives.
As a valued member of our team, you will play an important role in the continued growth and advancement of the emergency department through protocol development, process improvements, and a commitment to exceptional patient care.

Qualifications
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure in the State of New York.
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous emergency medicine experience.
