Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable team member for a hybrid Veterinary Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant role. This position is primarily front-desk focused, with opportunities to support the medical team through light clinical duties.
This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working directly with clients while also being involved in patient care behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reception Duties (Primary Focus):
Greet clients and patients warmly and professionally
Answer phone calls and emails, triage client concerns, and direct communication appropriately
Schedule appointments to support an efficient and smooth daily workflow
Manage check-in and check-out processes, including processing payments
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
Provide compassionate and discreet emotional support to clients during a variety of medical situations
Veterinary Assistant Support (Secondary Responsibilities):
Assist with exam room setup and turnover
Prepare and organize medications as directed by the veterinary team
Restrain pets safely for exams or procedures when needed
Support the team with basic patient care and hospital flow

Qualifications
We’re looking for:
Experience as a Veterinary Receptionist and/or Veterinary Assistant (minimum of 1 year veterinary experience preferred)
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
Compassionate, calm, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable supporting both client-facing and clinical tasks
Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow within the veterinary field
Additional Information
Pay range: $18–$22 per hour, depending on experience
